Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso IGP Veneto Orientale


Harvesting and production technique
The Refosco is one of the last grapes to be harvested in our vineyards. After treading, it begins the maceration on the peels, and it lasts for 4/5 days. Once drained, the must ferments at 20/25°C.

Organoleptic characteristics
The peculiar characteristic of Refosco is that it’s an apparently gruff wine.
Colour: intense red, with elegant violet reflections of the backlight.
Bouquet: intense, with scents of red fruit jam but also musky hints.
Flavour: structured but soft due to the presence of sweet tannins.

It goes wonderfully with braised, roasted or grilled red meats, game and poultry, even in stews.

The Refosco P.R. it’s one of our autochthonous vines, that is cultivated in our territory since time immemorial, and for this reason it’s a symbol of our wine-growing tradition.
