Harvesting and production technique
It was a very common variety in the past and has been cultivated since time immemorial throughout the Veneto region. Rough, tannic and full-bodied in character, for these characteristics it was called "vin da mar" by the Venetian shipowners. Today, modern processing techniques can make a very fragrant and excellently drinkable wine from these grapes.
Organoleptic characteristics
Colour: brilliant ruby red and red foam.
Bouquet: very pleasant aroma of red fruits and English candy.
Flavour: structured wine, slightly sweet and smooth.
It must be tried with medium-aged cheeses, cured meats and omelettes but also with grilled meats.
